Ella Jahner is the daughter of Roy and Kisha Jahner of Harvey. She is entering her senior year at Pella High School. Ella plans to attend one of the state universities to study education. She is a member of the 3L's 4-H club in Knoxville. Ella grew up on a family farm raising hamp cross breds and eight years ago the Jahner's started raising dorsets. When she was 6 months old she was in the barn "helping" her family with the sheep. She started showing when she was 5 at the Iowa State Fair open show, just like her father and brother did before. Ella is very active in her community and school activities. Ella participates in high school dance team, studio competition dance, and colorguard. She found her love of showing and raising livestock by watching her cousins through the years. She enjoys showing dorsets at the Marion county fair and state fair. She also enjoys showing at jackpot shows around the state and national shows around the country.
